If you’re planning on doing anything tonight at a certain time, like raiding, make sure you don’t wait to log on.  It’s a relatively small download of about 51MB, but don’t forget about the queue.  There are plenty of changes to review, so take a moment and read the notes.

Just one month and one day from when we cleared our first wing in Naxxramas, Sapphiron and Kel’Thuzad both bite the big one and Naxx is clear!  This week has been quite an eventful (and long) one.  Tuesday and Thursday were business as usual, going through the various wings of Naxxramas.  It was a bit rocky the first few nights, but we pulled it together nicely in the end.

On Saturday we scheduled a raid to finish off what we started earlier in the week and cleared through Military and Construct quarters, then decided to break in our freshly made frost resist gear on Sapphiron.  With the usual Stormwardens tenacity we went at it.  Each attempt was progressively better, and as usual, it paid off in the end.  We finished the raid night off with the mighty frost wyrm a pile of bones on the ground.

Monday night’s success was in true sync with Saturday night’s.  We starting off the night of raiding with a quick run through Obsidian Sanctum then back into Naxxramas to see how tough Kel’Thuzad really was.  Turns out, he’s not so scary after all.  It was looking like we were going to one shot him out first time in, but a carefully laid Shadow Fissure saw an end to that and we ended up wiping with his percentage of life in the single digits.  2 more tries and victory was ours.

Congratulations to all!  Malygos’ defeat is on the horizon!  Thanks to all that made it out to raid, and special thanks to Thugger for joining us for some extra healing.  It would have been a bit rougher without you.

Like I said previously, we were back in Sapphiron’s face this week.  It took a few tries to get the right organization, positioning, and to get people settled down, but Sapphiron fell.  I think we took more tries on Heigan, who we had downed before.  Some special thanks to Thugger who was bored enough to help.

I missed the downing of Kel’Thuzad, so the bit I know is that it took a few tries (I listened in on what sounded like a wipe in progress) and that there was a party in Naxxramas.  For the record, allergies and migraines suck.

Still a bit busy, so the news is a couple days old, but we cleared the Construct Quarter.  Well, “we” is a bit deceptive as I seemed to be more along the lines of being the special needs kid ramming my head into bosses.  Level seventy gear and some quest rewards do not a raider make.  Also, we’ve learned that “frogger” can be just as mean to the people making fun of those who died.

The clearing of the Construct Quarter marked the first week of a 4-wing clear.  Sapphiron did not like company.  We’ll be back.

First off, I hope all your holidays were wonderful.  Second, happy new year!  Third, well, I don’t have much news.  Most years, my plans start somewhere at the end of October and don’t let up until the middle of February.  I recently hit 80, so I’ll be able to join the rest of the raiding section of the guild and maybe be able to keep up with what’s going on in guild.

The last piece of news I have is patch 3.0.8 should be landing soon.  Lots of little changes from what I’ve seen, but the changes to Enchanting are HUGE.  Supposedly many enchants will have their material costs halved.  Makes me glad I still haven’t leveled it.
