WoW Insider Sends Their Grats

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Congratulations everyone in Stormwardens!  Not only did we clear Karazhan, but one of the WoW news sites was kind enough to send their well-wishes our way as well!  Check it out on this week’s Guildwatch column.  Keep it up, guys!  Maybe soon they’ll be helping us to celebrate our first 25-man kill!

Nightbane Down and Karazhan Clear

Monday, September 17th, 2007

PWNED

With Nightbane down, Karazhan has now been completely cleared! Unlike our first attempt at Nightbane a little over a month ago, things seemed to go much more smoothly, and after three wipes, we managed to down him without any deaths on the fourth attempt. Special thanks to Aggromagnet, Aner, Darci, Exorest, Eibbon, Faileas, Mozes, Rokstar, Sophira, and Trangoul for making this momentous occasion possible. For loot:

Next up: Gruul’s Lair and (hopefully) a consistent second raid group.

Fast Progress

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

For the first time, we’ve managed to blow through Karazhan. We cleared every boss except Nightbane (and the retarded Beast Boss, but we’ll ignore him) in two nights of raiding. That’s about 6 hours total, or an average of about 36 minutes to clear to and kill one boss or clear one event. We only had a few wipes, and most of those were just silly mistakes. We even managed to one shot Prince!

Because this week went so quickly, there will be a second Karazhan group started at our normal time tonight for people who missed the first raid and alts. At some point, we’ll probably also attempt Nightbane again to see how well we do this time.

Congrats to everyone for making this small guild into a fun casual raiding guild. Everyone deserves some credit for how far we’ve managed to come. Without you, none of this would be possible.
