Attumen down, Moroes attempted

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Attumen the Huntsman went down with a quick first attempt Monday night thanks to help from Clan Jade Falcon (CJF).

  • Whirlwind Bracers were sharded and the crystal went to Troq (he likes them bracers).
  • Spectral Band of Innervation went to Kougaiji, from Clan Jade Falcon.

Stormwardens would like to again thank the participants who joined us in the raid, especially CJF whom we could not have done this without.

On to better attempts at Moroes! For those of you wanting to participate, PLEASE read up on him.

Attumen the Huntsman is DOWN!

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Attumen the Huntsman, one of the first Karazhan bosses was downed tonight on attempt number three. This was our second attempt at Kara, and we managed to down a boss! Congratulations to everyone involved! Stormwardens sure has matured a lot in the last few months, and I hope we can keep it up!

What dropped, you say?

Stormwardens would like to thank the following participants who joined us in the raid: Aggromagnet, Bubbaray, Faileas, Goodycomp, Heartgiles, Shadowgazer, Spinebreaker, Tankin, Trangoul, and Troq. We would also like to thank the following people for getting keyed and helping us learn the instance: Carmnsndiego, Dirtyhorse, Mìke, Sophira and everyone else that I forgot to mention because I’m a n00b at names.

Up too late in Old Hillsbrad

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

I’ll get a picture up later (and maybe a whole gallery at some point), but I just have to say I love how Stormwardens can do things. Bubbaray, Shadowgrazer and Sophira were kind enough to help me “grind” out the last bit of reputation I needed to get Revered for Keepers of Time. I should have paid more attention to “the last little bit” being about 1100 reputation. I was just going to kill all the non-boss mobs in the instance after I realized how far away I was. Did I do that? No.

Stormwardens style dictated we attempt 4-manning a boss.

After the first boss, we tried the next, and so on. We managed to finish the entire instance with 2 warlocks, a mage and a druid. Sophira never tanked (except some occasional heal-tanking) and the death of Epoch Hunter was noteworthy to say the least.

We all said “There’s no way in hell we’re going to kill him.” So? We tried anyway. The initial mobs were annoying but not terrible considering our crowd control ability. Two Felguards, a water elemental, 2 warlocks, and a mage started obliterating Epoch Hunter shortly after poor Sophira managed to grab aggro when Epoch Hunter came down early. Some amazing tanking by Thrall, some felguard tanking, and warlock tanking (until soul shatter) made some interesting positioning logistics. I do believe the death order was Dogbert, Shadowgrazer, Sophira, and then Bubbaray. If you paid attention, you noticed that Thrall did not die. Yes, with some crazy DPS, DPS/Healing, Healthstoning, and even mid-fight (while being beaten on!) Soulstoning, we were able to put Epoch Hunter to 1% health with 1 Curse of Agony on and being tanked by Thrall who was at about 35%. From my MobInfo mod, it showed that last bit as ~900 life on Epoch Hunter, the last tick of Curse of Agony hits, leaving 559hp. In a couple more swings Thrall beat him down.

We all ran back after a good laugh, hoping to get some good loot. Shadowgrazer walked away with the Time-Shifted Dagger (since I was going to buy the Continuum Blade), so all was not lost.

Just another note to say, “Congratulations on doing things most people would never try… and completing them as only Stormwardens can.”

Divergence merge a no-go

As if most of you didn’t know, most Stormwardens love the guild too much.  We’ll find a way to raid some day. ;)
