Still alive… I swear!

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

I know I had been tasked with keeping the news posts up to date. I failed miserably. Stormwardens is still here, although with a considerably smaller amount of active members. We’re not raiding anymore and several members have canceled subscriptions, with the idea of possibly coming back for Cataclysm.

If you don’t see someone you know in guild anymore, your best bet is to check Chronic Insanity or Venerable Brotherhood.

Sartharion 3D Defeated!

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Yeah, we might be a bit late to the party, but there’s still not a lot of groups who can successfully take down Sartharion with all three drakes still alive! After a successful night killing Onyxia (and getting She Deep Breaths More), and doing some Trial of the Crusader, our raid had enough time to try our hands at Sarth 3D. We’ve never been able to do 2D, but with the raid DPS, excellent Tanks and Healers we had along last night, we were able to do a raid that few groups have been able to do, even now. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the raid last night, and a special congratulations to Nutters for winning the drake!

Trial of the Crusader Cleared!

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

With Anub’arak down, that marks this instance cleared. As it was a short instance, it didn’t take nearly as long to clear as Ulduar is taking. At some point we’ll also head back into Ulduar and kick Yoggy’s butt to finish it off as well.

Congratulations to everyone who helped clear through ToC!

Lord Jaraxxus Down!

Monday, September 14th, 2009

One more boss down in the Argent Coliseum! Congratulations to everyone who helped make this happen (despite all the disconnect issues). The next event is the Faction Champions which is a PvP-like event similar to Priestess Delrissa from Magisters’ Terrace.

General Vezax Down and into the Coliseum

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Using a continuation from last week, we were able to take down General Vezax! Sounds like it only took two tries, so compared to Mimiron, the learning curve wasn’t nearly as bad. Yogg-Saron is now on notice.

In other news, we ventured forth into the Coliseum and defeated the Beasts of Northrend in the Trial of the Crusader before being butt whooped by the next encounter. We’ll get them eventually.

It’s still been hard filling raids because of the lack of people playing (I being one of them). Hopefully when summer finishes up, several members will be coming back and playing more regularly, making it easier to fill raids.

Finally, BlizzCon will be starting in two days. Keep an eye out for new announcements, specifically about the new expansion, Cataclysm! Several guildies will be attending, so there will be a mini-meetup.
