I have cleaned the infection, thanks to a few google searches and my knowledge of regular expressions. Anyone logging in will notice that the forums will require you to change your password and that changing your password is now required every six months. As always, DO NOT use your battle.net login information to login to this forum.
Sorry to those of you who use Stormwardens as a little time waster during the day. It would have been ready to go Friday morning if it wasn’t for the fact that I get paid to do a different job.

Some days, you get the epic loot. Some days you are the epic loot.
In other words, the website was hacked. I don’t know how yet, but I do know it took advantage of a vulnerability in the old calendar. I’m working on cleaning things up, but it takes a while. I never realized how many files are on this site behind all the curtains. I may break a few things in the process, so bear with me.
I’ve removed a bunch of files and folders, and I’ve disabled the forum. They’ll be up when I can get them fixed.

I can’t believe the last time I updated the news page was October! It just shows that we’ve all been a bit busy one way or another, be it work, school, social activities, or we’d rather just be in game than type out a news post.
With the release of Cataclysm came the race to 85. There’s no advantage to being the guild leader so Thugger holds the bragging rights for first level 85. Worgenstein has the achievement of being the first with two level 85s. I’m pretty sure I won the race to 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 85s though. Thugger’s focus on one character also brought him the bragging rights of first to exalted with the guild this last week.
On the raiding front, we’ve managed to gear up and organize enough that we’ve downed Halfus, even with the “hardest drake comp” (so I hear). I think we’ll have another raid boss downed this week or next. Yeah, we’re not the average raiding guild, but we’ll get there eventually!
We’ve also updated our loot rules. I’d like to say they’re a little more forgiving to out of guildies, and could help us provide repair money for raid runs.

As if you didn’t hear or see in probably a hundred places, Blizzard announced the Cataclysm release for December 7th, 2010. Deathwing will be bringing his own infamy to Azeroth.
There are a number of zones and items leaving the game with Cataclysm. Now is the time to put your nose to the grindstone if you want something.

I created a little problem back in May. I was tired of deleting spam accounts every day, so I disabled new user registrations completely, rather than send them to be approved by an admin. Previously, we let anyone sign up and verify with an email confirmation. Even CAPTCHA won’t keep a persistent or resourceful programmer from creating accounts.
To the players that talked to Vidalyia about Stormwardens and to those randomly stopping by, please accept my apology. I’m usually a nice guy, I swear! Unfortunately, some admins (*me*) don’t remember that settings have changed and they need to fix them.
